I have been coming to Leo's since I was a kid, visiting my grandparents. I am now an adult and I must say it's the same amazing food!! My favorite dish is Leo's enchiladas. I have searched from California to Texas for enchiladas that I like and without a doubt, Leo's enchiladas are the best I have EVER had! Hidden gem that I am so glad to visit every time I come to Tucson

Leo's is a small place, but it's graced by Leo himself, who is absolutely charming! The food is excellent! I haven't found anything there that wasn't absolutely delicious, and their margaritas are the very best! The waitress remembers us when we go there about every six+ months! Leo's is an absolute favorite with Tucson locals! Check out the newspaper article featuring Leo at his restaurant, when he was a very young man. It hangs on the wall near the front register, and makes it fun to read about the history of the place.

This is the best Mexican restaurant that I go to when I am in Tucson. My mom and take me there almost everytime I come to Tucson. The owner and his family are so nice and awesome. The food is just right, and the mood of the place is awesome as well. The lighting and the tables are so nice. The atmosphere and the people are amazing. If I could I would give Leo and his family more than 5 stars. Thank you Leo and your family for always making myself and my parents feel welcome every time we come into your restaurant. You and your family are the best.

I had dinner here tonight with four friends. I had the Combination Plate #9 ($14.95), which included a chile relleno, carne seca, two large tortillas, rice and beans. There were also the usual bowls of chips and salsa. The chile relleno was a lot spicier than most are. The tortillas were very good. I liked the salsa. The rice, beans and carne seca were unexceptional. Overall, it was a pretty good meal. Service was OK. As for ambiance, there isn't any. They're not aiming for anything fancy here, just a little hole-in-the-wall next door to a strip club. All in all, good but not great.

My wife and I had lunch at Leo's because I and some fellow employee's used to have lunch there occasionally in the early 2000's when i worked nearby. It was like stepping back into a delightful time capsule for some of the best burros we ever had. The place was just as I remembered it complete with the little lunch and dinner menus and the plastic glasses for drinks. It is still run by the family and probably one of the best authentic Mexican food restaurants in Tucson. The prices were in line with other places and the staff is still so cheerful and friendly. We will definitely be making this one of our regular Saturday after shopping stops.

Would not bill as couples. Ended up costing me much more $$ because we ended up paying for extra stuff others in party ordered. Other than that service was fine but much better food at other places in town. No ambiance to speak of as the table assigned was in front of both bathrooms. Will not go back.!

The food here is delicious! We were here for lunch and the portions were generous, fresh, and authentic. The service was friendly and accommodating as I had to handle a few calls before ordering. A must try!

I went here to join in a friends birthday party. Its not a huge place. The staff was friendly and joked with the patrons. We all ordered something different. The cheese crisp was super yummy--but, how can you go wrong with a cheese crisp!! I ordered flautas. They were not like the ones at my favorite mexican restaurant--but they were "ok". Later upon getting home, I proceeded to be sick to my stomach. Nobody else had this issue--so am guessing it was just maybe an issue with the beef in mine, maybe it was just something with the beef. I have heard great things about their specialty plates--so I will be trying that next time I go. A patron did report that the womens bathroom toilet was backed up. It took a good half hour before anyone was able to go tend to it.

The service is just like being served by your kind grandmother. They truly care about everyone that walks in the door. The food is absolutely incredible and the amount they give you for the price is unbeatable. Would choose this over any Mexican restaurant in the area. They obviously do not advertise to write a review other wise they would be #1
